Mountain States CupJune 25-27Join the Mountain States Cup for the annual Wildflower Rush held on Mt. Crested Butte. This season, look for more improvements to the Avery DH, a newly built Mountain Cross Track, and the return of the Fat Tire 40. For 2010, the FT40 will be a USA Cycling Sanctioned event for Pros, CAT 1’s, and the Wild-CAT Class. ANYONE can race it! Go to http://www.racemsc.com for more info. Friday – Registration 9am; DH (Colorado State Championship), XC, Super D and Mountain X Practice. Saturday – FT40 8am, and all XC races; Mountain Cross (Colorado State Championship) PM. Fat Tire 40June 26It's on - the Fat Tire 40 returns with an epic 40 + mile course on legendary Crested Butte singletrack. Other races claim it, but the Fat Tire 40 really does deliver the goods! FT 40 Course This season the FT40 will be a USA Cycling sanctioned event for Pros, CAT 1’s, and the Wild-CAT Class. ANYONE can race it! Here is the lowdown on the Wildcat class: * Entry for the Wildcat FT 40 is $50 (Yeah, it costs a bit more than last year, but the prizes will be even better and you'll get more beer!) * There will be a USA Cycling temp membership fee of $10 due at plate pick-up * To avoid an on-site registration fee of $10, all riders should pre-register online: REGISTER HERE * Pick-up plates and USA Cycling temp membership on Friday or Saturday morning |

Chainless RaceJune 25The Chainless is pure Crested Butte. Bring yer townie, wear a costume, and coast down Kebler pass to an exciting finish on Elk Avenue. Afterwards, nurse your road rash (and a couple of beers) at the Chainless Awards party.

Bridges of the Butte 24-Hour Townie TourJune 26-27, 2010, 3 p.m. – 3 p.m. This one-of-a-kind 24-hour bike tour loops through downtown Crested Butte, meandering across the town’s bridges. Sign up solo and brave the bike seat for all 24 hours, or put together a team and tour the town in shifts as day turns to night. Tune up your townie bicycle and find a fabulous costume, because this is one townie takeover you don’t want to miss. Riders are encouraged to collect pledges to be eligible to win great prizes, including a 2011 Ride the Rockies spot, 2010/2011 CBMR Gold Pass, and more.
