 Mountain States Cup

 June 24-26

Join the Mountain States Cup for the annual Wildflower Rush held on Mt. Crested Butte.  The Wildflower Rush is one of the premier race weekends in the nation. Disciplines include XC, DH, DS, and SD. This season, the DH events are part of the Pro GRT series, so some of the biggest names in DH racing will be in attendance.

 

 

 

             

Clif Bar Fat Tire 40

June 25

Now in its third year, this race returns with an epic 40 mile course on legendary CB singletrack. Other races claim it, but the Clif Bar Fat Tire 40 really does deliver the goods! 

This season, the Clif Bar Fat Tire 40 will be a USA Cycling sanctioned event for Pros, CAT 1’s, and the Wild-CAT Class. ANYONE can race it! Here is the lowdown on the Wildcat class:

* Entry for the Wildcat FT 40 is $55

* There will be a USA Cycling temp membership fee due at plate pick-up

* To avoid an on-site registration fee of $10, all riders should pre-register online: REGISTER HERE

* Pick-up plates and USA Cycling temp membership on Friday or Saturday morning.

Chainless Race World Championships

June 24

The Chainless is pure Crested Butte. Bring yer townie, wear a costume, and coast down Kebler pass to an exciting finish on Elk Avenue. Afterwards, nurse your road rash (and a couple of beers) at the Chainless Awards party.

  • 2pm shuttles depart from 5th & Whiterock to the top of Kebler Pass
  • 4pm Chainless Race Starts
  • 4pm after party at 1st & Elk
  • Awards from 5:30 - 6pm

Bridges of the Butte 24-Hour Townie Tour

June 25-26, 2011, 3 p.m. – 3 p.m.

This one-of-a-kind 24-hour bike tour loops through downtown Crested Butte, meandering across the town’s bridges. Sign up solo and brave the bike seat for all 24 hours, or put together a team and tour the town in shifts as day turns to night. Tune up your townie bicycle and find a fabulous costume, because this is one townie takeover you don’t want to miss. Riders are encouraged to collect pledges to be eligible to win great prizes, including a 2011/2012 CBMR Gold Pass, a Western Spirit Cycling White Rim trip for two, and more.
